Who Are We?
Kitchener Fastball Promotions has been in existence within the Waterloo region and surrounding areas for 30 years. We are a group of volunteers who promote the sport of fastball. We do this by holding both invitation and sanctioned tournaments which bring the highest caliber players and teams from literally around the world to this area to showcase their talents and the game.
Since 2001 we have hosted 6 International championship tournaments and 3 Canadian championship tournaments.
Coming Summer 2024
Softball Canada’s U23 Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship starts July 30 with team festivities and tournament running July 31 – August 4th 2024. This tournament will see teams qualify in their province or territory and make the journey to Kitchener to vie for the Canadian Championship. The 2023 Champions came from just down the road in Tavistock!
Volunteer with Us
Fastball Promotions relies on the support of Volunteers to assist in hosting tournaments throughout the summer including the Peter Hallman Memorial Tournament and the Softball Canada U23 Canadian Men’s Championship.
Volunteer roles include announcers, scorekeepers, gate sales, souvenir sales, or other miscellaneous roles.

To honour his commitment to strengthening this sport in so many ways, his integrity and respect he held in the community and his love of the game, the Peter Hallman Memorial Fastball tournament was established in June of 2005.
